Are we required to attend?
Greek chapters that wish to implement the program are required to send two representatives to Body Image Academy (BIA). BIA will serve as your formal training and will provide guidance as you implement the program on your campus. The Academy will include 18 hours of training.

What if we can’t attend?
If your chapter is unable to attend BIA this academic year, you will not be able to implement the program. Your chapter will need to defer the program until next year.

How many people from my chapter have to attend?
We have asked both your body image coordinator and your lead peer facilitator to attend the Academy. There will be training and important information for both roles.

What if we don’t know who will serve those roles?
It’s important that your chapter select a body image coordinator and lead peer facilitator right away and schedule for their attendance at BIA. These two chapter leaders will play vital roles in implementing the program in your chapter and will need to start planning right away.

Can one person attend in the fall and one attend in the spring?
It is preferred that both the body image coordinator and the lead peer facilitator attend the same session; although, we may consider exceptions, if necessary. The chapter will be unable to implement the program until both women have been trained at BIA, so it makes sense to do so at the same time. It will also be valuable for both women to hear the same training and be able to discuss specific chapter concerns during the weekend together.

Is it better to attend the fall or spring Academy?
Both Academies will offer the same curriculum. The fall Academy has been reserved for Tri Delta students only. The spring Academy will be open to members of other Greek organizations as well as Tri Deltas not able to attend the fall session. We strongly encourage Tri Deltas to attend the fall Academy, as this will give your chapter more time to implement the program during the academic year.

What cost is involved for my chapter?
Tri Delta will cover the cost for two chapter members from twenty chapters to attend Body Image Academy during the 2008-2009 school year. This includes airfare, hotel, meals and materials.

Non-Tri Deltas attending the Academy will be charged $485 per person. They will be responsible for their own travel.
